Gift for the teacher

It’s that time of year for Christmas gifts for the teacher. If your children are anything like mine it means they have more than 1 teacher. For my 3 children I need to get 7 gifts!!!
So this year I decided to make my own.

This is what we started with.
We filled the cup with chocolate and a candy cain and placed a candle next to it.

The children got the corners of the plastic wrap and put them together at the top and squeezed the plastic wrap together just above the cup. I then tied the silver gift ribbon around it.

And for that finishing touch our homemade salt dough stars that we made here

Apart from the salt dough (as we had the ingredients anyway, and it was an activity in itself) these only cost around £2.30 as we had 7 to make. I personally think this is a good deal. We had fun making them, they are cheap and the children can’t wait to give them to the teachers as they are so proud of them.

This is a fabulous idea! Thanks so much for all your lovely ideas of interesting and cheap things to do with the children, I am trying quite a few with my two year old grandson Alexander and we’ve both had alot of fun 🙂 My salt dough needs a bit of tweaking but it wasn’t bad for a first attempt done in the microwave. Thanks again for a lovely page, your hard work is much appreciated! Love, Bett xxx
