Playmobil house, part 1

Do your children love playmobil?? My daughter does but it’s so expensive.
That is why we have made our own house with some furniture to play with.

It all started with a trip to the chemist, I noticed they had some smallish boxes and as soon as I saw them I thought they would make a fantastic house. So I asked if I could have four of the boxes which had already been collapsed down.

To make the house I first cut the top flaps off. I then used my glue gun (but any glue or tape would do). To glue the box back together like this

I wanted it this way to make a nice flat “wall” for the house but it doesn’t really make a difference.
Once all the boxes where glued together and dried (thats why i used my glue gun as my daughter didn’t want to wait for it to dry), I glued 2 of the boxes together.

I glued the remaining 2 boxes in the same way.
Then when dry I glued the 2 boxes on to of each other.

And there you have it a simple house.

To make the furniture I simply cut some simple rectangles and glued them together for the beds, with a small rectangle for the pillow.

We made a table in the same way

The bath was a bit more awkward but still made from rectangles.

When Puppy will let me we will finally paint and decorate it. But for now she is more than happy with playing with it just the way it is.
