Pipe cleaner bird feeder.

As its still cold here today we decided we would make a bird feeder out of these items.
This is another super simple activity which my children loved.

What you need
•pipe cleaners
•cereal liked Cheerios

All you need to do is thread the cereal on to the pipe cleaner.
This is great practise for their fine motor skills. You can also count the pieces of cereal which Puppy loved. She also arranged them into different shapes
Once you have enough pieces of cereal on the pipe cleaners you can make them into shapes to hang outside.
Puppy thought hers looked like superworm (Juila Donaldson book) so we used hers to attach the other t20130228-160811.jpg
Puppy loved hanging this on the tree fo20130228-160907.jpg
And I think it looked pretty to.

As a family we all love watching the birds in the garden.

I love this idea! Now that the birds are finally coming back into our yard for spring I’ve been thinking about making some bird feeders for them. My 5 and 3 year olds will really enjoy this! Thanks for sharing!
